I was visiting the old town of Naples for a photo workshop in a local gallery. When I arrived, narrow streets were full of garbage. Was it because of the waste collection company strike? Or were there other reasons? The waste situation lasted for several days. It was suffocating. My creative spirit was suffering. I was still determined to continue with the project of photographing the atmosphere of the old town and its people. But instead I could not breathe... until I looked up. It was my inner victory in the fight for space.
Looking up for space, for freedom, for lightness, for emptiness.
