JUMPING (MANIFEST OF PLAYFULNESS)
This ongoing photographic series is a visual and philosophical exploration of playfulness as an essential part of adult life. Manifest of Playfulness emerges from the desire to rediscover and reclaim joy—not only as a memory of childhood, not as a lost state we must dig for, but as a vital, continuous force we can consciously cultivate in our everyday lives.
In contemporary culture, play is often relegated to childhood, seen as something we grow out of in the pursuit of productivity, control, and seriousness. But what if we never stopped playing? What if playfulness could be a way of being—an approach to the world rooted in curiosity, creativity, and lightness?
This series invites viewers to reflect on the spaces where playfulness still lives: in gestures, in shadows, in fleeting moments of weightlessness and wonder. I photograph myself and others in quiet acts of play—not staged, but discovered—merging with natural light, textures, and landscapes that allow the body to move freely and imaginatively.
Sometimes we try to "find our inner child" through therapy or introspection, as if that part of us is buried and forgotten. But perhaps the child has always been there, just waiting for space to play. Scientific studies suggest that adult playfulness contributes significantly to creativity, problem-solving, resilience, and even intimacy. In a world often marked by stress and disconnection, the playful attitude becomes not only a personal tool for well-being but a cultural strategy for renewal.
To live playfully
to play with my shadow
to be able to merge with joy
weightless
ethereal
This is not a return, but a continuation—a reimagining of play as a conscious act. Manifest of Playfulness is both a personal journey and a gentle call to action: to take play seriously, to loosen the boundaries between age and imagination, and to allow joy to shape how we see, move, and connect.
